The most important skill I learned to grow my business from 400K to 1M in less than two years

I’m so excited to be taking you behind the scenes to share the number one skill I learned from going from $400k in 2019 to $1 million cash in 2020 without a full team!

I used to think I had to work long hours to continue seeing income growth in my business. I thought it was counterproductive and impossible to reduce my hours and still grow my revenue.

BUT I was wrong.

If you focus on this method, you can design and structure your business to grow without needing to spend every waking minute working.

In this episode, I’ll explore 5 key areas that I’ve used this skill to grow, increase free time in my day, enjoy my work, and still be able to train for an Ironman competition. These areas cover everything including client experience, continuation containers, content, planning your business model, and hiring a team.

It sounds incredible, right?! I’m so grateful that I invested the time in refining this skill so I didn’t continue running my business through hustle and constant work.

Grab a pen and paper to write these down. You’ll thank yourself later!

Topics discussed and when to find them:

[2:27]: #1 skill that I learned was to shift from a place of feeling like there is no time to focus on refining our skills so we can have more of an impact in less time consistently.

[3:01]: Context behind discovering this skill.

[4:37]: I had previously believed that all of my success was from how I was working.

[5:27]: 5 key areas where this skill has been utilised to scale.

[6:08]: #1 Client delivery and experience. I created Standard Operating Procedures so there is a system for every client to have the same great experience.

[9:57]: Consider little things like sending out the contract, how do they sign it, how quickly can they be set up in the software.

[14:00]: Expansion Mastermind kicks off! A 12-month experience that is full service that I’m pumped about.

[16:42]: #2 Continuation containers as a way to maximise impact and longevity. Where are your clients going from the course you created?

[19:00]: These containers don’t need to be content-based, they can be a Voxer container or a Facebook Group etc. You can maximise the longevity of the relationships with your clients through these containers.

[20:26]: #3 Content. Content is now the easiest and least time intensive part of my business. See the link below for the 2 previous podcast episodes mentioned. Say what you really mean - don’t sugar coat your message.

[25:37]: You can repurpose your content.

[26:42]: #4 Creating a business model based on my strengths which maximises impact and income. I have a full scale team that helps me to hold space for my clients.

[30:14]: I created experiences and paid containers with my strengths in mind. This allows me to create the biggest impact with clients and feels in alignment with the life I want to lead.

[31:35]: Send me a message if you’re interested in Next Generation! It’ll be capped at 5 people initially so super intimate.

[33:29]: Pay attention to how you like to communicate and what your strengths are.

[33:44]: #5 Hiring a bad ass team. I worked with Paula Maidens to find the best team. Just because you can do everything, doesn’t mean you should.

[37:06]: The way we created $1 million cash in 2021 and almost half a million guaranteed for 2022 was the result of having a team.

[38:08]: Recap.
