We all want them.

And not just because of the financial freedom they can provide but because you crave the ripple effect of the deep impact you know you can offer your clients.

I think, where many of us fall over is by thinking that all sales advice will work for you.

And yet, the ironic thing is that most sales advice won’t work for you.

Here’s why. 

❌ Generic sales advice isn’t taking into consideration who you are at your core.

❌ It’s not factoring in what your strengths are.

❌ It certainly doesn’t consider your unique point of difference.

So much of the sales advice out there is one-size-fits-all, and if you've been in business for any length of time, you know that one size most definitely does not fit all.

This is why I infuse my sales advice to clients with a deep understanding of their Human Design. 

Because here’s the thing…

As a 5/1 profile in Human Design myself, I've spent years researching and experimenting with different sales strategies. 

And what I've found is that when we align our sales approach with our unique energetic blueprint, that's when the magic happens.

So today, we're going to break down some common sales advice for each Human Design Energy Type, look at why it might not be working, and most importantly, what to do instead. 

By the end of this blog, you'll have practical, actionable strategies that actually work with your energy, not against it.

Sales advice according to your Human Design Energy Type. 

Manifestors

If you're a Manifestor, you're here to initiate and make an impact. But so much of the traditional sales advice out there can actually work against your natural gifts.

Common Advice That Doesn't Work

There’s a lot of advice, particularly in the coaching industry, about how often you should be selling in order to create results. 

“I had a $50k cash month and you know what I did? I sold every day”. 

Being “on” all the time is not ideal for a non-sacral being like a Manifestor.

Why It Doesn't Work

Here's the problem: this approach drains your initiating energy and feels inauthentic. 

Being “on” all the time is not ideal for a non-sacral being like a Manifestor. Manifestors are meant to inform and then create space for others to respond. 

What to Do Instead

Instead, lean into your power to initiate and inform. 

Create bold, impactful marketing messages that clearly state what you're offering and why it matters. Then, give people space to come to you.

For a Manifestor, it’s all about creating “assets” that can inspire your ideal clients to take action. 

For example:

  • Have your unique frameworks and methodologies front and centre that showcase your vision and impact. Maybe it’s in the banner of your Instagram or maybe you have a quiz on your website about a unique framework/assessment and how someone can implement it into their life. You can then position your offers as the solution. 

  • Create a "Disruptive Insights" newsletter, sharing weekly game-changing ideas that your audience can immediately apply. This can encourage people to join your list, receive your insights and then reach out to work with you. 

  • You can also use a "Now or Next Round" approach in your content, clearly communicating when you're available to start and when the next opportunity will be if they're not ready now

  • You can also implement "announcement style" launches - Rather than traditional long launches, create shorter, more impactful launch periods that align with your natural ability to initiate and inform.

Our primary focus when working with Manifestors is to create powerful, aligned marketing strategies that honour their need to initiate and then rest. 

Something as simple as having some great templates in Canva can make it so much faster for you to create sales content quickly as you have a true self urge. 

It’s all about crafting effective “landing assets” that can do some of the selling for you while you're resting.

Module 5: Craft Congruent Messaging

There’s no point having great messaging if you don’t know how to leverage it! This module is the reason myself and my clients are able to convert CONSISTENTLY and without always needing to be online. But even with quality messaging, there’s a real art to getting it to convert without you needing to get on sales calls or show up everyday on IG. In this module, I’m teaching you how to craft compelling, congruent messaging that works hard when you don’t want to!

Generators

Generators, with their Defined Sacral Centre, have access to sustainable life force energy when they’re working on what is lighting them up.

And that is key. A Generator has to LOVE what they do, otherwise, their beautiful lifeforce energy is moot. 

Because of this perception - of always having energy - Generators can get caught up in believing that they can always be on. But this is definitely not the case. 

There are definitely aspects of the sales process that don’t light you up. 

Common Advice That Doesn't Work

You've probably been told to use scripted sales calls or to set up rigid, automated sales funnels. Another common piece of advice is to plan out your entire sales strategy months in advance.

Why It Doesn't Work

Here's the issue: these approaches ignore your most powerful tool - your Sacral response

When you're following a script or a rigid plan, you're not allowing space for that gut feeling, that "uh-huh" or "uh-uh" that guides you so powerfully.

What to Do Instead

Instead, create interactive sales processes that leverage your yes/no energy. 

For example, instead of a scripted sales call, try a more conversational approach. Invite potential clients to fill out an application so you’ve got something to respond to before you invite them to a call or reach out to them via IG DM’s. 

Follow up based on genuine enthusiasm: "I'm excited about potentially working together. How about you?"

Have a lead magnet funnel but then reach out to people who download that freebie so you can use your sacral to respond as to whether you’re attracting the right kind of clients or need to tweak your messaging. 

You can also host live workshops in response to themes you’re seeing with your clients or in your industry as a whole. This can help people get a taste of what you’re excited about and see the power of your sacral in real-time. 

Remember that unless you’re sold on your offer, nobody else will be. As a Sacral being, it starts with your own personal satisfaction and excitement. 

How This is Addressed in Constantly Converting By Design

For our Generators, it’s all about creating a content strategy that leverages their Sacral response and we know how important content is for sales! 

For example, as a 5/1, I like to provide in-depth practical solutions on my Podcast. Then I leverage that content by repurposing it into a blog, an email to my list and also onto Instagram with the main CTA being to the Podcast and to any freebies that I currently have. 

This means I’m leveraging my strengths and one Sacral response is creating multiple pieces of content. 

Inside CCBD, I teach an overall content strategy and then I provide specific insights into how this applies for a Generator, including a step-by-step guide for how to use AI to support you to leverage one piece of content into many. 

Module 7: High Converting Content

In this module, we'll introduce you to our powerful Magnetic Content Planner, a resource filled with over 100 content prompts and insights into the most high-converting content styles. We'll also explore how to tailor your content strategy based on your unique Human Design energy type, ensuring your content resonates deeply with your audience.

Manifesting Generators

As Manifesting Generators, you are dynamic, multifaceted powerhouses. Just like the Generator, the power is in your Sacral response, combined with your fast pace and multidimensional nature. 

MG’s are all about efficiency gains. For the most part (this does require some practice!) They know when things are no longer working and when it’s time to pivot. Or to start something new before another project is complete.

But this can also give them a bad rap for “quitting before it’s done”. 

This only emphasises the importance of staying connected to your Sacral response. 

Common Advice That Doesn't Work

You've likely been told to focus on one offer or one marketing channel at a time. Or maybe you've been advised to stick to a consistent, long-term sales strategy without deviation.

Why It Doesn't Work

This advice doesn't honour your multi-passionate nature or your ability to quickly skip steps and find efficiency. 

When you try to focus on just one thing or stick to a rigid plan, you can often be left feeling stuck or bored. All that energy with nowhere to go.

What to Do Instead

A multifaceted sales approach will help you stay engaged and provide you with space for quick pivots. 

For example, I have a couple of evergreen funnels set up that can support me to do some of the nurturing of potential clients in more of a “hands-off” way, and then I run live events as my Sacral responds to certain topics. 

This can create cash injections and give potential clients who are “on the fence” an opportunity to feel into your energy. 

This is the same approach that I have for my marketing.

I have landing assets that can support me but then I don’t plan my content far in advance. Instead, I use my sacral to respond to what is currently happening. 

Here are some other ideas:

  • Create a "5-day challenge" covering different aspects of your expertise each day

  • Develop micro-learning content: 2-minute weekly videos on various topics to showcase your multidimensional expertise

  • Host monthly "Rapid Fire Learning" webinars where you cover multiple topics in quick succession, keeping the energy high and varied

  • Implement a "Rapid Fire Clarity Session" as part of your sales process, where you could give a client an example plan of what you’ll be working together, as well as addressing all potential objections in a high-energy, focused 20-minute call.

All of this starts with working with a movement instead of a niche. This is how you can set up a solid foundation for recurring revenue, maintain consistency in your core message and offers, while also giving you space for pivots. And this is the very starting point of my teaching in CCBD. 

Module 1: Your Movement 

In this module, we'll identify the unique impact you want to make in your industry, this is the KEY to creating compelling offers. You'll learn a messaging framework to ensure your communication aligns with your impact, leading to more conversions. Projectors

You're here to see others deeply and guide energy efficiently. 

You’re a non-energy being. Simply put, your energetic resources are finite. For this reason alone, most of the sales advice available to you is working against you (and your greatest strength).

A much-loved motto for the Projector is “do less”. Which is very counterintuitive in this current paradigm of business. Projectors are also here to Wait for the Invitation, which is just further permission to approach sales in a vastly different way.

But in doing less, a Projector is able to achieve so much more and in much more aligned ways. 

Common Advice That Doesn't Work

Common advice often suggests cold outreach, networking events where you hand out business cards to everyone or aggressive marketing tactics where you're constantly promoting your services.

Why It Doesn't Work

This approach goes against your need for invitation and recognition.

Projectors aren't designed for constant output or initiation. When you try these tactics, you often end up feeling drained and unappreciated.

Remember, your energy is limited and it’s better spent on those that truly see you and invite you to share. 

What to Do Instead

Focus on building your authority and creating systems for organic invitations. 

Invest time in creating in-depth, valuable content that showcases your insights. Develop a strong online presence that attracts the right people to you.

For example, you could create a detailed, free resource - like an ebook or a video series – that demonstrates your expertise. Promote this resource instead of directly promoting your paid offers. This allows people to recognise your value, leading to natural invitations.

Another idea is to host intimate, invite-only events or webinars where you can shine in a more focused setting. This plays to your strength of guiding energy in concentrated doses.

At its simplest, a sales strategy for Projectors starts with choosing the marketing platforms where you feel most seen.

How This is Addressed in Constantly Converting By Design

For our Projectors it’s all about developing their unique voice and creating platforms for recognition. 

We teach them how to craft magnetic content and set up systems that naturally lead to invitations, allowing them to guide from a place of recognition and authority. A big portion of this is covered in Module 2 and Module 4 inside of CCBD.

Module 2: Your Messaging

Unsure if your copy is hitting? This module will help you NAIL your messaging and make you feel "invincible" about your offer. That's the overwhelming response we receive from clients who have already completed it! You'll learn to write captivating copy for your core offer. I'll review it to boost conversions. Then, you can repurpose your new messaging in all your content and on all your platforms.

Module 4: Your Marketing Platforms

In this module, we'll explore marketing platforms and help you select the one that perfectly aligns with your Human Design energy type. By understanding your unique strengths and communication style, we'll point you toward a platform that supports you to authentically express your expertise and build a strong online presence.

Reflectors

Last but certainly not least, let's talk about our Reflectors. You are a rare gem, here to reflect and evaluate the health of your environment.

Like the Projector you are a non-energy being and this has to be considered when exploring what sales strategies work best for you.

Your greatest strength is what you observe in your environment, and then using this to your advantage.

On top of that, you’re entirely ruled by the moon. So becoming deeply attuned to your own energetic monthly cycle will further allow you to tune into what is feeling most aligned for you in that moment. 

Which is pretty important when it comes to sales. 

Common Advice That Doesn't Work

You've probably come across advice about creating a lot of urgency in your sales process. We’ve certainly seen the rise of limited-time offers in the coaching industry of late.

Why It Doesn't Work

This approach doesn't honour your need for time and space to reflect. Reflectors need to sample experiences over time (ideally a full lunar cycle) to gain clarity. 

Pushing for quick decisions or creating artificial urgency often leads to poor choices and misalignment.

What to Do Instead

Create longer, more reflective sales cycles that align with lunar phases. 

Instead of quick-decision sales tactics, offer potential clients a journey of discovery that mirrors your own reflective process.

For example, your “top of funnel” could be a 28-day Perspective Shift where participants receive daily prompts for reflection and learning.

In everything you do, share your observations about trends or patterns you're noticing in your industry. 

Your unique perspective is incredibly valuable, and sharing it can naturally attract the right clients to you.

For example, you could host a monthly "Industry Pulse" webinar, reflecting on trends and changes, and how they impact your clients

How This is Addressed in Constantly Converting By Design

For our Reflectors it’s all about creating a sales process that gives them and their potential clients space for reflection and time. 

And this is something dive deep into in Module 6 of CCBD.

Module 6: Your Sales Strategy

In this module, we'll introduce our proven 4-step sales system and guide you in aligning it with your unique Human Design energy type.
